I am on my last Valentine for this year! And it is for hubby!  I am featuring the Lovebirds die today.

Design Steps

1.  The card base is a white A2, blue card stock cut to 5 3/8 x 4 1/8, Polka dot paper 5 1/4 x 4 and two white Pierced Wide Rectangle Frames glued together
2.  Glue the Polka Dot paper to the blue card stock and then add the knotted check ribbon to the bottom
3.  Cut a sun in yellow using the Arch Sun die.  I glued the sun to the back of the frame and then glued the frame to the card front over the top of the ribbon as shown
4.  Using the Lovebirds die cut out the branch in brown and green card stock.  I trimmed the leaves away from the brown branch and then glued it to the top of the green branch.  Glue the branch to the card front as shown above
5.  Cut out the flowers in white and the birds in blue with the becks in yellow.  I used a little ink to shade the birds and then added them to the branch along with the white flowers.  To add a little pop of red I used the hearts from the Love Letters die.  I placed the hearts on the corners of the frame and on the white flower centers.  I added a sentiment and the card is complete

Miss You Valentine

Hello Friends

It is Pam creating with you today!

I have another Valentine to share.  I usually send out Valentines to family and a couple of close friends.  So I am just finishing up with a few more.  The one I am showing you today is featuring the Garden Window die from the Black Friday release and an older die Parlor Table & Chairs.  The card is a little larger in size then my typical A2.

Design Steps:

1.  Use a white card base measuring when folded 4 1/2 x 6 1/2, designer paper 4 3/8 x 5 3/8, gray card stock 1 1/2 x 4 3/8 and a white strip 4 3/8 x 1/4
2.  Glue down the designer paper then add gray at the bottom (I ran the gray through a cover plate to get the added texture) last glue down the little white strip
  • Using the Garden Window die and the Parlor Table and Chairs cut them out of black card stock.
  • Using the Garden Window die cut out the cat in gray.
  • Using the Hanging Pots die cut out the pot in red and the plant in green.
  • Cut pink card stock for the curtains using the Spring Window with Peekers.
  • And the last piece is the little envelope which I cut in white with some red hearts the die I used was the Love Letters die.
  • All the dies I used are still available
4.  Cut a piece of blue card stock for behind the window.  Glue the blue to the back of the window.  Place the curtains in the window.  To make them fit I cut them in the middle and you will also notice they are short so I made a little valence which I ran through my crimping tool
5.  Glue the window to the card front placement as shown above.  Place the cat in the window
6.  Add the table and chairs as shown above
7.  Add the plant and letter to the table and three little hearts to the valence.  Last place your sentiment and your card is complete

Special Delivery

Hello Scrapping Cottage Friends

It is Pam on the blog with you today!

I know slimline cards are all the rage right now so I thought I would make one for Valentine's Day.  The Circus dies plus a few of our older dies made such a cute card.  I am not sure I can give it away!  Hee Hee

Design Steps:
1.  Using a variety of card stock and these three dies: Love Letters Pedaling Puppy & Circus Train (for the little basket) cut out your pieces.  Shade them with several different inks and then glue them together with a fine tip glue
2.  Using the Sweetheart Dollies die and white card stock cut out one large circle and two of the second in size. Make your slimline card which is also on white card stock cut a piece 8 1/2 x 7 and then on the 7 inch side score at 3 1/2.  Cut a piece of hot pink card stock 3 1/4 x 8 1/4 and a piece of DP 6 1/2 x 3 1/8
4.  Glue the hot pink to the card front, glue the DP to the middle of the hot pink and the center your circles as shown above
5.  Use pop dots on the back of the little puppy and place in center circle.  Glue down flat the mail box and the little bird.  Stamp your sentiment below the bird and your card is complete

Just a Little Note

Hello!  This is Sukie and today I have a sweet card to share for my design team day. This card is perfect for Valentine's Day.
The die cuts are from the Cottage Cutz Love Letters die set. I followed the packaging colors and went with a non-traditional color theme for my card.
Once I put together my die cuts, I found the perfect plaid paper in my stash for the background of my card. I used the Fiskars Grass border punch for the grass.  The sentiment is from the Scrappy Moms (retired) Happy Mail stamp set.
I created the scene on my card by adhering the mailbox with a couple of extra letters.  Next came the branch with the adorable bird perched on top.
My card was finished off with the sentiment flag.  A few tiny hearts were added to the sentiment as embellishments.
Here is the die set used on my card, available in the shop:

A "Hootie" Halloween

Happy Friday!  It's Jeanne today and before I get to my card, I'd like to tell you about Cottage Cutz' fantastic sale on their web site right now.  Select dies are on sale for up to 50% off.  It's for a limited time so check it out soon.  Now, my card for this Friday.  I'm in the Halloween mode so I just had to make a Halloween card.
For this one, I used the witch owl from the Spooky Night Owl set.  A super fun set that includes a witch and a pirate owl!
I first cut all my owl and branch pieces from white card stock.
I used Copic markers to color them.
Next, I cut the second and third largest circles from the Double Stitched circle set and the sentiment using the Halloween Trick or Treat die.  I cut two circles because I was unsure of what size I wanted to use for my moon.
To make the sentiment better fit my card I cut off the top and bottom pumpkins and foliage.  I thought about cutting out just the "trick or treat" but I liked the framed look.
I laid it out on a navy blue A2 card base.  I decided to use the smaller of the circles as I like the way the owl fit into it.
I added a few sequin stars to finish it off.  This is a fun and easy card to make and would also look terrific with the pirate owl as well!
